Mr. Ted Allen, MAI has been associated with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc. since 1979, and currently holds the position of Managing Partner at the Miami office. He is also one of three members of the firm’s executive management committee.

Mr. Allen began his career with the firm in the Dallas office and became the Miami office Manager in 1984. In 2011, he was named Managing Partner.

Throughout his career, Mr. Allen has steadily built an impressive roster of elite clients including banks, savings and loans, institutional investors, pension funds, private individuals, development companies, real estate syndicators, and various other entities.

The majority of Mr. Allen’s real estate appraisal assignments have been performed throughout Florida, the southeastern United States and the Caribbean. A large scope of his assignments include marine related and residential properties along with lodging facilities, office, retail, special purpose properties, raw land, subdivisions and restaurants. Additionally, he has performed marketability, consultation, litigation support, expert testimony and feasibility report services for a variety of clients.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Allen has been involved in real estate appraising since the completion of his formal education. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Real Estate and Accounting.

Mr. Allen holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Florida and Georgia. He also holds the MRICS designation as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Mr. Allen has served on various Appraisal Institute Committees.
