Brian RapelaMr. Brian Rapela, MAI, has been associated with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc. since 2011, and currently holds the position of Partner at the San Francisco office.
Mr. Rapela began his career with the firm in the San Francisco office as Managing Director. In 2015, he was named Partner.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rapela has steadily built an impressive roster of elite clients including banks, attorneys, development companies, as well as private owners and various other entities.
The majority of Mr. Rapela’s real estate appraisal assignments have been performed throughout Northern California, however, his territory extends into the Pacific Northwest.
A large scope of his assignments include retail, office, industrial, self-storage, and hospitality properties, as well as special purpose properties such as automobile dealerships, service stations, marinas and meeting venues. Additionally, he has performed consulting, partial interest valuation and litigation support. Mr. Rapela also provides court testimony and is a qualified expert witness.
A graduate of Allegheny College and The Ohio State University, Mr. Rapela has been involved in real estate appraising since 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, as well as a Master of Science degree, also in Physics.
Mr. Rapela holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Appraiser licensed in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Alaska. He also holds the MRICS designation as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Mr. Rapela is active in the Northern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He has served on the Board of Directors and was a representative for Region 1. He has also served as Chairman of the Fall Conference Committee. He has a personal interest in charities that have impacted his family, and actively supports such organizations as Children’s Hospital Oakland and FARE: Food Allergy Research and Education.
