Christophe Porsella

Mr. Christophe Porsella, MAI, has been associated with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc. since 1998.  He was named Partner in 2011 and promoted to Manager of the New York City office in 2017.

Mr. Porsella began his career as a commercial real estate appraiser with the firm in the New York City office and became a Vice President in the New York City office in 2002.

Throughout his career, Mr. Porsella has steadily built an impressive roster of elite clients including investment banks, commercial banks, institutional investors, pension funds, development companies, attorneys, and institutions.

The majority of Mr. Porsella’s real estate appraisal assignments have been performed throughout the New York region.

A large scope of his assignments include a wide variety of building types including apartment buildings, cooperative and condominium developments, office buildings, retail buildings and retail condominiums, hotels, industrial and vacant land.

Additionally, he has testified as an expert witness in litigation at the federal and state levels, performed feasibility studies for new developments and market rental studies, and has performed appraisals of brownfield sites.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Mr. Porsella has been involved in real estate appraising since the completion of his formal education. He holds a B.S. degree in Geography from the University of Maryland, as well as a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Urban Planning.

Mr. Porsella holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Appraiser licensed in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

In 2012, Mr. Porsella was elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Appraisal Institute’s Metro New York Chapter.
