Ms. Joanna C. Trunnell, MAI, has been associated with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc. since 2000, and currently holds the position of Partner at the Washington, D.C. office.

Ms. Trunnell began her career with the firm in the Washington, DC office and became the Vice President in 2000. In 2011, she was named Partner.

Throughout her career, Ms. Trunnell has steadily built an impressive roster of elite clients including lending institutions, insurance companies, institutional investors, pension funds, mortgage brokers, investors, and development companies. She has extensive experience preparing appraisals for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lenders.

The majority of Ms. Trunnell’s real estate appraisal assignments have been performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

A large scope of her assignments include mixed-use, multi-family, office, industrial, lodging, retail, land, subdivisions, and special use properties. Additionally, she has performed market rent and feasibility reports for a variety of clients and has expertise in student housing throughout the region.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Ms. Trunnell has been involved in real estate appraising since the completion of her formal education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, as well as a Master of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Land Development from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Ms. Trunnell holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Appraiser licensed in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.
