Mr. Matthew Smith, MAI, has been associated with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc. since 2005, and currently holds the position of Partner at the Washington, DC office.

Mr. Smith began his career with the firm in the Washington, DC office. In 2015, he was named Partner.

Throughout his career, Mr. Smith has steadily built an impressive roster of elite clients including banks, savings and loans, institutional investors, pension funds, private individuals, development companies, real estate syndicators, and various other entities.

The majority of Mr. Smith’s real estate appraisal assignments have been performed throughout Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Illinois. In addition to being one of the Washington D.C. office’s most senior level appraisers, Mr. Smith has also been responsible for generating and overseeing appraisals of major properties and has created and fostered relationships with several of the firm’s prominent clients.
