Mr. Joseph Hatzell, MAI, has been associated with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc. since 1989, and currently holds the position of Partner at the Miami office.

Mr. Hatzell began his career with the firm in the Miami office. In 2011, he was named Partner.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hatzell has steadily built an impressive roster of elite clients including large pension funds, banks, savings and loans, institutional investors, development companies, real estate syndicators, REITs and private individuals.

The majority of Mr. Hatzell’s real estate appraisal assignments have been performed throughout the southeastern United States.

A large scope of his assignments include resort hotels, condominium buildings, industrial buildings, regional malls, residential subdivisions, office buildings, shopping centers, traditional and low-income multi-family projects, and vacant land. Additionally, he has performed market study reports and expert testimony for a variety of clients.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Hatzell has been involved in real estate appraising since the completion of his formal education. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate.

Mr. Hatzell holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Florida. Mr. Hatzell has served on various Appraisal Institute Committees.

A prominent member of the South Florida Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, Mr. Hatzell has served as Education Chair for five years, the board of directors for three years and currently serves on the University Relations Committee. He also served on the Advisory Board for Florida International University’s Jerome Bain Real Estate Institute.
